TENDER RAIN

The rain falls soft, a gentle hush,
Upon the roof, a tender brush.
We sit inside, the world unseen,
Just you and I, a quiet scene.

The window pane, a blurry glass,
Reflects the fire, as moments pass.
Your hand in mine, a warming hold,
A story told, more precious than gold.

The storm it weeps, a mournful sound,
But peace is here, safe and profound.
Each drop that falls, a whispered plea,
To stay with you, eternally.

We watch the street, a silver stream,
Lost in a happy, rain-soaked dream.
No need for words, no need to roam,
Just find our home, within this room.

The rain may cease, the clouds may part,
But love remains, within my heart.
A rainy day, a perfect start,
To love you always, set apart.
